Most of regular modders and advanced players can change default truck sound to new player favorite sound without using FMOD Studio.īut advanced sound modders must can change typical FMOD Setting to new one. If SCS can adjust sound volume and pitch level curve (FMOD store it in special XML file), so we can use the same "interior.sii" and "exterior.sii" files for truck engine sound. So we can have one typical FMOD settings for all trucks in game and take it from specific ".sii" file. In this case (of course if SCS have source code by it FMOD license) SCS can attach files from any game ".sii" file to this events "on fly". You must to know, that when you build result from FMOD Studio you can select use "Assets" in result or can exclude sound files from result ".bank" files. I want to say how I see game movement to using FMOD engine in game. This update will make most existing sound mods incompatible. Honestly, they will need to start from scratch to plug their sounds back into the game, as the changes in data structures are considerable.
